Charleston defenses nearly complete, Lincoln pushes Fox plan

  • [2nd SESSION OF CONVENTION] South Carolina Convention Delegates assemble today at St. Andrews Hall in Charleston. The top order of business is the ratification of the Confederate Constitution, which was adopted by Confederate Congress two weeks ago. A certified copy of the Constitution waits there, which will receive ample discussion in the coming days./1861
